Parents have the right to see their child’s SBA questions and responses

If you are a parent whose child took the Smarter Balanced Assessment in 2015 or 2016 or even 2017 before you knew you either could Opt Out or even wanted to Opt Out and later joined our cause- there is a process to SEE YOUR CHILD’S TEST! We need parents to hold OSPI accountable for transparency. Especially for those whose kids that scored a Level 1 or 2.  This could also apply to kids who potentially got sick due to the test itself!

In the early 1990’s, Anita Hoge won her complaint with the US Dept. of Education because she was able to see her child’s EQA test in Pennsylvania.  People have worked to get parents this  right- exercise it!
